Area(s) of practice

ÅKE FORS works mainly with financial law. However, he also has extensive experience in insurance and reinsurance law and also as an arbitration counsel and as arbitrator. Fors has more than 25 years worth of experience from these fields of law from his work in Sweden and in the USA as well as miscellaneous international proceedings and transactions, inter alia, project financings. Of a number of occasions, he has been named one of the leading lawyers in Sweden in banking, finance, company law and particular aircraft finance. Fors teaches at the Faculty of law at the University of Stockholm and has written articles on various legal topics. He has acted as arbitrator a number of times. Fors is the head of Setterwalls' Banking, Finance and Insurance practise group since 2005.
